The MacDonnell Shire is currently responsible for the leadership and management of nine Indigenous early childhood services on remote communities in central Australia.  The services cater for the education, health and wellbeing of children from birth to school age whilst building family capacity to support their children's development.

 We are looking for a passionate and energetic professional with a qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care ( Diploma or Degree) to lead our   remote Children's Services teams.  This position is responsible for the provision of the educational program and the development and management of the indigenous team within the Children's Service. Team Leaders are supported in all facets of service delivery by Alice Springs based Coordinators and Support & Development Officers. 

The service is currently outside the scope of the National Quality Framework, however, MacDonnell Shire is committed to supporting our services to establish and implement continuous improvement plans working towards meeting National Standards including the Early Years Learning Framework: Belonging, Being and Becoming.
