Wallace Rockhole
Wallace Rockhole is 110 kms west of Alice Springs and forms part of the Ljirapinta Ward.
The current estimated population is 105 residents.
Wallace Rockhole is a Western Aranda community and was founded by the Abbott family in 1973 as an outstation of the Hermannsburg Mission.
It is on the Urana Land Trust, 25 kms along the James Range and 40 km's to the West MacDonnell Ranges.
With its attractive setting, community members have strived to develop a tourist industry, particularly for day visitors but also for overnight campers.
The community benefits from being close to Alice Springs but potentially disadvantaged from its close proximity to Ntaria, a new designated NT Government Growth Town.
We welcome any historic or current information that you know about this community to form part of this community profile.
