MacDonnell Shire is responsible for maintaining and insuring all of our buildings and facilities. We currently have approximately 174 buildings on our list.
Territory Housing Tenancy Services
MacDonnell Shire delivers tenancy services and support to Territory Housing residents. As with Property Services the Tenancy program has now moved from a grant funded arrangement to a Service Level agreement.
MacDonnell Shire is funded under the Service Level Agreement to provide a front desk service for tenants to report housing issues at all locations.
We employ Community Housing Officers under the Service Level Agreement, these employees are the link for tenants to access tenancy services. Most of the Community Housing Officers are local people who have in-depth knowledge of the tenants in their communities as well as the added advantage of communicating in the regional language. One of the key functions of this role is assisting tenants to report maintenance via the relevant system ensuring that issues are attended to within the required time frames under the property Service Level
