Elected Councillors

MacDonnell Regional Council has twelve elected members representing its four wards. Council members elect their President and Deputy President (principal members) from the twelve-member Council.

Following the general election held 28 August 2025 eleven Councillors of the fifth MacDonnell Regional Council were elected. Results of elections are declared by the Territory Electoral Commission. Full details of the election results are available at: NT Electoral Commission 2025 Election

There had been insufficient candidates in the Rodinga Ward but a supplementary election held in November 2025 filled the vacancy.  Mr Garrard Anderson has recently resigned as a Councillor for the Luritja Pintubi Ward and details of the by-election to fill the vacancy will be published as soon as finalised.
